We are a group of 42 private anaesthetists in Auckland, New Zealand. We provide anaesthetic services in private hospitals and clinics in the Auckland region, covering all the surgical specialties, including paediatric, cardiac and neurosurgery. Many of our members have a part-time public hospital appointment, the rest only work in private practice. Most of us have one or more specialty areas of practice, though still covering the general areas such as gynaecology, orthopaedics and general surgery.

The group was founded in 1964 by Drs. Stan Hunt, Brendon Line and 3 others. We have since grown steadily from those first 5 members!

We have 5 friendly office staff who will handle your enquiries in person, by telephone, email or fax, from the hours of 8 to 6 pm weekdays. The office is located in Newmarket / Remuera, at 9 St. Mark’s Road, upstairs at the back of the Auckland Surgical Centre building. St. Mark’s Road runs between the southern end of Broadway, Newmarket and Remuera Road.
